Biography
Edwin Hubbell Chapin was a prominent Universalist clergyman who gained considerable fame as a lecturer and moral reformer during the mid-19th century. He served as pastor of the Church of the Divine Paternity in New York City and became known for his eloquent sermons addressing social issues and spiritual development. His published works on ethics and religion were widely read, and he was a frequent contributor to religious periodicals of his era.
