F.C. Bangs was a photographer and studio operator active during the mid-to-late nineteenth century in the United States. Little is documented about his early life, but Bangs established himself as a professional photographer during the 1860s, a period of significant growth in American photography following the Civil War. His work appears in the Library of Congress collections, suggesting he achieved sufficient prominence to have his photographs preserved in institutional archives.
