Biography
Francis Granger was a prominent American politician and diplomat who served as a U.S. Representative and Senator from New York during the antebellum period. He was a founding member of the Whig Party and played an influential role in New York state politics throughout the 1830s and 1840s. Granger also served as Postmaster General under President William Henry Harrison, overseeing significant reforms to the postal system.
