H.B. Anthony

Biography

H.B. Anthony was a Rhode Island politician and women's suffrage advocate who served in the United States Senate during the Reconstruction era and beyond. A member of the Republican Party, Anthony was known for his progressive views and his support for civil rights legislation. He was also the brother of the renowned women's rights activist Susan B. Anthony, and shared her commitment to expanding democratic participation.
