Biography

James Blair Steadman was a Union general during the American Civil War, known for his service in the Western Theater. He participated in several major campaigns including the Battle of Chickamauga and Sherman's Atlanta Campaign. After the war, Steadman remained in the military and served in various administrative capacities during Reconstruction.
