J.M. Robinson

Biography

J.M. Robinson held the rank of Captain during the American Civil War, commanding a company-sized unit in either Union or Confederate forces. As a junior officer, Robinson would have been responsible for the direct leadership and welfare of approximately 100 men in combat and garrison situations. His documentation in Library of Congress collections places him among the thousands of officers whose service shaped the course of the Civil War.
